Two Vital Bible Study Key
Many Individual when studying the Bible does not look at reading God’s Word as scripture maturity but as spiritual maturity. Yet for me to be quite honest the question comes to mind: Can you have spiritual maturity without scripture maturity? Therefore, for and Christians to have a deep understanding of the Bible you must have scripture maturity with a persistent to seek out all truth of God’s inspired word given unto His prophets and apostles to equip the saints of the church. Yet one might interpret it in this manner that God has provided an extensive support system the Bible for achieving knowledge and wisdom so that we might walk with Him in this life to prepare for the life to come.
Here early I am going to asked four questions which you need to consider in this second lesson of the second vital key for understanding the Bible.
Whom will he teach knowledge?
Whom will he make to understand the message?
Those just weaned from milk?
Those just drawn from the breasts?
Spiritual maturity and scripture maturity is growing from milk to meat
Spiritual maturity and Scripture maturity one should develop the following:
By setting Key Priorities: Where do I Start my scripture maturity?
What are the Priority of this scripture Relationships
Maintaining Key Disciplines for scripture study:
The discipline of bearing the firstfruits of scripture maturity
Then the discipline of your scripture maturity
Yet the most important of your scripture maturity is for it to be intentionality
Next is guarding key attributes to scripture maturity:
Counterfeits of growth
Yes, it can be stated in this manner about scripture maturity that there are some people who would say something to this effect that you can prove anything by the Bible. However, one might even go so far as to say that there is a grain of truth in that accusation if you are not careful how you interpret the Bible. Yet a warning there are certain standards and principles to understand that are written for your growing in a relationship with God and God’s word. The fact also about scripture maturity is you would not understand the literature of the written word of God, nor the covenants of God that it is more than just history of the Bible.
When it comes to scripture maturity I strongly believe that how God told the prophet Isaiah the woe to drunkards of Ephraim. “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.’” NKJV Isaiah 28:9-10.
precept—Hebrew, ṣaw, a rule or law, shortened from miṣwāh. line—Hebrew, qaw, related to the plumbline (28:17), signifying evaluation and measurement. The repetition of sounds in Hebrew makes the instruction of the ungodly priests sound like baby talk, which might entertain babies, but would insult grown-ups.
One of the problems that you will face in your life and ministry is that how people grow weary with hearing the same testimony given as well as with the same message about the rule of life and rules on how to live it therefore they complain. Consider Jeremiah 26:7-9
Study very closely these verses 7-9 here in the book of Jeremiah for it speaks a clear message of how even the priests and prophets in the days of Jeremiah plotted to murder Jeremiah. My logic for stating this is when you start relating the scriptures with a scripture maturity persecution you will find many scriptures that states persecution and how it will come, it comes because of what people do not want to hear as it was with the day of Jeremiah. And as for the church that is living in the last days the apostle Paul also has made it clear in what he wrote unto Timothy that the day would come when they would not endure sound doctrine but have them to teach them a doctrine that I believe that there is only one way of stating it that it was a false doctrine rather than the sound doctrine of God’s Word 2 Timothy 4:3. The point is this with this text of scripture is to state if we do not want sound doctrine taught then we do not want scripture maturity.
In other words they do not want scripture maturity taught to them for it is harsh and does not fit what they believe in how they should live their life or lifestyle. Three Vital Bible Study Key
