The Work of the Holy Spirit in Every Believer or Christian

The Work of the Holy Spirit in Every Believer or Christian

In this part of our study and as we further study about the Holy Spirit, it will be on how that the Holy Spirit works within every believer or Christian. In addition, all of our lives as a Christian, and how our lives are affected by the Holy Spirit. I believe that it is how that we experience God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Therefore, to have this experience we must be born again spiritually, and it is on a sad note that many have not been born spiritually. However, I know that for many individuals that there are questions, and the main question: How do I know that I have the Holy Spirit? Therefore, to answer this question let us consider these many texts of scriptures which reveals how the Holy Spirit is working within our Christian life.

These texts of scriptures were taken out of the New King James Version of the Bible, with the exception of one and it was taken from the New American Standard Bible. However, let us first consider that the work of the Holy Spirit is also the prophetic word of the prophet Ezekiel where that Ezekiel stated in Ezekiel 36:27 where that God said He would put His Spirit within you to walk in My statutes. In addition, one might also interpret that the Holy Spirit is ministering the New Coventant.

The Holy Spirit draws the believer or Christian

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44 NASB

The Holy Spirit regenerates
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:3-6 NKJV

The Holy Spirit baptizes
For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one spirit. I Corinthians 12: 12,13 NKJV

The Holy Spirit indwells
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? I Corinthians 6:15-19 NKJV

The Holy Spirit seals
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14 NKJV

The Holy Spirit assures

So he [Philip] arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and over take this chariot.” Acts 8:27-29 NKJV

The Holy Spirit illumines
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12 NKJV
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. I Corinthians 2:12, 14 NKJV
