The Vital KEYS to Understanding the Bible

The Vital KEYS to Understanding the Bible

As we begin you will need to consider the vital keys and the vital elements that is recorded in the Bible. Therefore, the second things you need to consider that there are many things written from other resources, about how to understand the Bible such as commentaries and other books that are written. However, this self-study is just not a writing about means or ways to interpret or understanding the Bible; however, it is about giving unto you just a few of the key elements to bring to your understanding some of the apostolic doctrine of prophecy hand down by our Lord and His Apostles.

The purpose of this teaching and self-study is for enlightening the everyday Christian and the students who are considering more fully their call for the ministry to gain spiritual knowledge, spiritual wisdom, and revelation that Christ through the Holy Spirit unveils the future for entering into the kingdom of heaven. One cannot read the scriptures without realizing how fully inspired the prophecy or prophetic utterance written by the prophets and of what we can find what Jesus taught that is found in the four gospels. Apostolic expansion of Jesus and His prophecy to be the great commission for the church, started in the book of Acts and can be traced through the epistles to the book of Revelation.

The Spirit of the Lord directed me to these verses of scriptures in the gospel of John 16:12-15. These verses of scriptures will be the foundation from which we will build upon for this self-study of vital keys: For do you know your Bible? The purpose and foundation of these scriptures is stated by Jesus, which states “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them.” (John 16:12 KJV) Jesus goes on to prophesy that when the Spirit of Truth was come it would teach and guide them into all truth. Therefore, the most vital key that any minister or Christian can have to gain a spiritual understanding about the Bible and its prophecy to have a personal relationship with the Lord God. Moreover, the second vital thing about this prophecy about the Spirit of truth, is that the Spirit of truth can only speak what he hears.

The years that I have study the scriptures these verses of scriptures here in John I never related to it as the prophecy of our Lord. My introductions to this self-study is to give you the vital keys to understanding the Bible. Moreover, they are the vital reasons that we as ministers and Christians need to be relentless about the Holy Word of God. In addition, if we are going to be the bride of Christ and made ready for Him then we need to follow the prophecies of Christ and the apostolic prophecies of the apostles for understanding the Bible both testaments of the Bible. Most teaching today focuses on mainly the major events as well as the fulfilled prophecy in the last generation or the Old Testament.

Let me add this thought while there has been a lot of Bible prophecy fulfilled by the first coming of Christ there are more than 500 prophecies dealing with the Second Coming of Christ and the last days. One of the 500 prophecies is found in John 6:43-51 prophesies that “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:44 KJV) We will deal with as many of these 500 prophecies as possible. For the modern-day church another one of these 500 prophesies in found in Matthew 24, where Jesus stated unto His disciples “Take heed that no man deceive you” Matthew 24:4 (KJV).

Furthermore, let me state this that other Bible prophecies teaching today focus on the theological advances being made in the world that help the future antichrist to carry out his evil schemes to destroy Christianity and Christ prophecy regarding His salvation for whom God has put in His hands. Therefore, with these thoughts in mind, we therefore, should focus on the prophecy of Christ and the doctrine He gave unto His apostles to be the roadmap of what He expects in the future from His bride. Then the next vital key would have to be the offices of the five-fold ministry in the Body of Christ. Where do prophets come from? How does the prophetic gifting work? You will find in Ephesians 4:11-13 the five-fold ministry of how each ministry is given and for what purpose. How do we deal with prophecies? How will a true prophet act? What do prophets do?

What about the “office” of a prophet? The apostle Paul clarifies the meaning of office when he discusses the functioning of each of these ministries in a local church in Corinth and Ephesus, Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 14:27-31. In addition, to answer this question our Lord Jesus Christ teaches His Apostles about the office of a prophet in the gospel by referring to what is written by the prophets of the Old Testament found in: (John 6:45 “It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.” KJV). We will deal more with the office of a prophet and the five-fold ministry in lessons to come during this study.

With the help of God and His Spirit these vital keys are to be taught for the purpose of enlightening men and women going into the ministry as well as leaders and saints that are within the church to fully understand the wisdom of God, that is written in the Holy Scriptures. Moreover, God gave prophecy to holy men for the unveiling the Spirit of truth of God’s Word for that day and for now and for the future. Therefore, we must also remember two things about the Holy Scriptures that it deals with prophecy by God and His Son Christ Jesus. I state this because of what Christ states while He was being tempted by Satan which was “it is written” Matthew 4. This is a reminder as well as to say that Jesus us the prophecy of the prophets to state His Father’s written commandments.

Therefore, the purpose in this self-study is for teaching you the vital keys to give understanding of the Bible is based in the fact that “it is written” will be a large measure of teaching today is based on God’s revelation in the Old Testament. Therefore, to understand the New Testament themes of creation, the fall of man and restoration of man, it is therefore necessary to read of their original origin written by the prophets found in the Old Testament. In addition, nearly everyone approaches the study of the Bible on preconceived opinions about the New Testament and has not examined the original origin of the Old Testament regarding the prophecy of Jesus and His Father’s will in our lives as well as for the modern-day church of today.
