Spirit of Antichrist Working Still Chapter Seven

Chapter Seven

Gods Requirements

What the spirit of antichrist does not want you to know

The Holy Scriptures teaches many things about how each follower of Christian and our Lord made known that we would have enemies. These enemies war with every Christian as long as they continue to beset personal human weakness and confine it in their imperfection. I believe this with all honesty that as we walk upon this earth we are being tested. It is sad to state that some who have come to Christ for one reason or another have got the notion that God’s grace marks the end of sin and temptation. However, the serious Christian soon learns that this is not the case. The truth of the matter is in a sincere conversion really marks the beginning of the great spiritual battle or conflict. Therefore, when each of us made our confession we enlisted in God’s army as a solider of the cross and of God’s Word.

If there is one thing this pastor knows it is that God has requirements and the spirit of antichrist will make you believe that God does not have requirements and that the Holy Scriptures is just stories. From the days of the prophets of old they gave to the church in a four-fold prophetic word to an apostolic mandate first to seek out the truth, second to pull down or put down false doctrine, third to destroy the evil will of Satan in our lives, the fourth to build on the foundation of the Holy Scriptures of God’s statues, judgment, vows, laws, commandments and His covenants. We as members of church of the last days are still required to follow the teaching of our Lord and His apostles to ward off the spirit of antichrist. This line of thought keeps coming back into my thoughts about requirements in the New Testament: If scholars and theologians and professing Christians sat that fulfilling the law of God, Jesus did away with it then to my understanding this does not make sense.

One of the questions you hear today: Are Christians required to keep the Ten Commandments? The problem I have personally with this question and the day we are living in filled with hatred, murder, wars, lying, cheating stealing and sexual abuse of children and the list could go on, sadly to say that most professing Christians claim that they are not required to keep the Ten Commandments. Moreover, I further believe that they take into consideration how that the world as well as the spirit of antichrist directs their feeling as the result of not following the Ten Commandment of God’s law for Israel, the church, and the last days. With God’s Spirit will help provide the understanding that God’s Ten Commandments are still required. It is well to note that this subject on the Ten Commandment has caused many of heated discussion form the day Christ walk upon this earth.

These are things that the spirit of antichrist does not want Christians to know first and foremost the spirit of antichrist does not want you to know you have authority to root out, pull down, destroy, and plant the word of truth that all mankind might be saved. In addition, the spirit of antichrist does not want you to cloth yourself with the armor of God for when you do that the spirit of antichrist knows that God has to means to influence you in His way. For in this armor of God we hold all of the weapons to pull down the stronghold of the spirit of antichrist and any other forces of darkness that may come to destroy God in your life. Secondly, the spirit of antichrist does not want you to know or understand that you are not wrestling against flesh and blood, that you are wrestling with the launching of the fiery darts of Satan, or to state it in another way the faith stealing darts that cause your mind to form thought contrary to God’s Word.

The Holy Scriptures often speaks the vital importance of faith in knowing God. Then there is the age old question why does God require faith? One of the answers of why God requires faith is because He is a Holy and He is our heavenly Father and we are to worship Him and Him only. Therefore, the spirit of antichrist does not want our relationship or our trust to be in that relationship with God.

Meeting God’s requirements

I do not like it or understand it why people keep asking this age old question: How do I know God’s requirements or His will for my life? If they are a Christian and read their Bible they should already know about what God’s requirements are for Christian living. For example the very first commandment in the Ten Commandments God is very clear that we are to have no other gods before God Exodus 20:3. However, the second commandment like unto the first commandment, “thou shalt love the Lord thy God” on these two lies God’s requirements for life in God given by the prophets of old and our Lord Deuteronomy 6:5. God does not force you or anyone else. God is always ready and waiting for each of us to becoming willing to meet His will and His requirements. It is not a matter if you know all of God’s requirements what is important is that you are willing to meet the requirements of God. When we lay aside our will and our requirements we know that God will do according to what He has promised to those who love Him and meet His requirements or His judgment, laws, and His Ten Commandments.

One of the examples from the Holy Scriptures that relates to meeting God’s requirements is found in Genesis 18 where God is about to destroy Sodom, He came to Abraham for He knew that He could not hide this matter from Abraham, for Abraham was God’s friend James 2:23. According to our Lord and what He stated unto His disciples that a slave does not know what is in the mind of his master only a friend knows the mind of a friend John 15:15. The logic and reasoning is this that with God and Christ they related that there was no barriers between friends.

However, there is also another way of interpreting requirements of God and that is to look at the standards or conditions God has set. One might consider the standard or condition that our Lord made in the gospel of Matthew “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48 NKJV) If I may be so bold to say God has only one major requirement- PERFECTION! With this high requirement that our Lord made; James also sets a requirement about God and God’s law “Whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all” (James 2:10 NKJV) The point is it takes only one mistake, one sin, or breaking one law to be guilty of them all.

Another way of reasoning of what James is stating guilty of all might be consider is this example: When we were in school there was a pass grade. Our God and our creator has a pass grade, however, God’s pass grade is about life now and in the life to come. Some of us may get a 5%, others 20%, however, it makes no difference, and we all will still will have a failing grade. For to pass with God and Christ the grade must be 100%-PREFECTION! Jesus set this standard when He addressed His disciples in His message to them while they were up on the mount about what was required to have a passing grade.

However, the same Holy Scriptures tells us that God is a just God therefore, God must punish sin. God states in the book of Exodus “Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty,” Exodus 34:7 NKJV. From what this scripture states I honestly cannot see how God can turn a blind eye to sin. Moreover, then we have a major problem we all have sinned and came short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. In addition, one might say that we all have sentence ourselves to that eternal sentence of death. Therefore, we all must seek forgiveness from the Lord God Almighty to get back in the right relationship with Him.

Concerning reading the Holy Scriptures

You may have heard it for yourself that it has been stated many times by many people is there any individual who can understand the Holy Scriptures? My reasoning to answer this question is that they do not understand the Holy Scriptures because they with a natural understanding and not a spiritual understanding. In addition, maybe one of the big problems is they are not allowing the Spirit of God to guide or to counsel their understanding which is the spirit of truth. One of the requirements in the New Testament was written by Paul to Timothy when he said study to show thyself approved 2 Timothy 2:15.

Do not get me wrong when I make this statement, however, there is much truth in it that many people when it comes to understanding the Holy Scriptures try to think with their heart, ear, and not with a spiritual mindset in the Holy Spirit. Another way of saying it could be that a Christian’s mental condition of the heart mainly falls in this understanding, one they are letting their mind run away with itself or they are not thinking at all. Many individuals have a bad memory and have to rely on writing themselves notes. I cannot object to this for I write myself notes on what I need to do as well as keeping a calendar. If a Christian only relies on this he or she has become completely dependent upon their notes to guide everything they do in everyday life. I have made this example to relate the issue concerning our thoughts for this is where the spirit of antichrist works.

Our Christian walk in new life to avoid the old life

In the book of Ephesians chapter four Paul addresses this issue with them at Ephesus and Paul states walk after their old ways but walk in the newness of Christ. I believe what Paul is saying is in manner of your former life which was corrupted with sin, deceit, and lust which excluded them from a life with God Ephesians 4:18. We find that this text of scripture also relates to spiritual darkness, spiritual blindness, and spiritual ignorance and an evil heart. These are just some of the areas where the spirit of antichrist works in the Body of Christ and individuals within that body. The apostle Paul writes to them at Rome that the night is almost gone and the day is at hand and it is time to lay aside our deeds of the world or of darkness and put on the armor of light Romans 13:12.

Now the apostle John writes this if a man hates his brother he is in darkness and walks in darkness and does not know where he is going because his eyes are blinded or the darkness has blinded him. I further believe that the apostle John is writing a Divine message for all time as well as for all ages. The apostle John goes on to state if we do not have a relationship with God we are walking in darkness and are not telling or practicing the truth.

The Holy Spirit within you and how we treat the Holy Spirit within us!

According to the prophet Joel his prophetic word was that God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh Joel 2:28. Therefore, on the Day of Pentecost God Spirit fell upon all flesh. From a personal point of view the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is in addition God’s Spirit indwelling in every Christian wherefore it is God’s infinite blessing or His ultimate blessing and privilege that the human mind cannot grasp fully that blessing. This is a blessing that brings joy in a time of sorrow as well as often stirring our awareness that God is present. The natural body for every Christian is the property of God. Therefore, we as the temple of God the God has taken up residence 1 Corinthians 3:17.

There is one thing I know without a shadow of doubt that the spirit of antichrist does not want as well as the power of darkness for you to behold the power of God’s indwelling Spirit has come into your life at your conversion. In addition, the spirit of antichrist does not want you to understand is how we can bring ill-treatment to the Spirit of God. The Holy Scriptures describes this ill-treatment in three areas the first is how we resist the Holy Spirit; the second is how we quench the Spirit during our time of worship, and the third is how we grieve the Spirit of God.

However, before I go any further the Spirit of God just brought to mind this thought about what many scholars and theologians as well as many Christians believe that the Spirit of God does not talk to us in the Body of Christ today. If that is the case then how do men and women in the pulpit give their message on Sunday morning if the Spirit of God did not talk to them? Furthermore, they claim to have the Holy Spirit in them and therefore, my question is how can it be in them and not speak to them? In addition, if they say the Spirit of God does not speak are they not denying the Spirit of God? To my personal feelings this is allowing the spirit of antichrist to work in them, in addition, are they not grieving the Holy Spirit as well as God and His Son. Moreover, is this not an act of self-righteousness to where they resist the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit?

To resist is to oppose the Holy Spirit. Within the Body of Christ there are many individuals also resist the clear will of Almighty God at times, perhaps by refusing to put away their old life and old ways, or by taking their own path of self-indulgence. In this statement alone you can see the spirit of antichrist at work as well as the spiritual neglect of Christian duty. Maybe a better way of saying it is we know what is right, and yet we put our entire weight of our body against the power of God’s will in our life. Yet another way of putting it is by our resistance we our overriding God’s Spirit and His work in us.

Another way of looking at the way we treat the Holy Spirit from the Holy Scriptures one might state that we are insulting the Holy Spirit whereby we have been sealed from the day of redemption. Nevertheless the Holy Spirit is grieved when we work against Him or ignored Him. To be honest I further believe that the Spirit of God feels our pain and yes this is beyond our understanding, however, the revelation of God tells us that it is so. I further believe that each member of the Godhead has feelings to feel what each of us is feeling in our time of need as well as our time of peace. In addition, if we truly become more aware of the times we are causing the Spirit to grieve and therefore this is why I believe that Paul wrote to them in Rome that they strive together in prayer for Paul that he might further the gospel of Christ.

Do you know the nature of the Holy Spirit?

First let me begin by say the Holy Spirit is no merely a person He is a Divine Person. This person is part of the relationship with the Godhead. Note how Paul states in 2 Corinthians 13:14 showing the association and relationship with the Father and the Son: “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (NIV) It also is well to note that the Holy Spirit bears the attribute of God and the Son. The apostle Paul writes this to the Hebrew people “How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that, we may serve the living God.” (Hebrews 9:14 NIV) In these two texts of scriptures we find that the nature of the Holy Spirit is as follows: He is eternal, He is all knowing, He is all powerful, and He is present everywhere.

Do you know what the Holy Spirit does for us?

I believe what I am about to state that there are many other who think that the Holy Spirit does four things the first is the Holy Spirit reveals God’s will in our lives, the second is that the Holy Spirit applies God’s salvation in our lives, the third is that the Holy Spirit indwells in our lives, and the fourth is that the Holy Spirit distributes His gifts unto us. You can find throughout the Holy Scriptures bot the Old Testament and the New Testament where the salvation has been applied. The main difference is that the Old Testament the House of Israel looked forward to the coming of Christ whereas the New Testament believers then and today look back as well as forward to the Second Coming of Christ.

Are we prompting the Holy Spirit in our lives?

What I have written this far about the Holy Spirit when it comes to prompting the Holy Spirit, I do not want you to get the wrong impression that the Spirit of God reveals that are not Christians or things outside of the Holy Scriptures. I further believe that any other doctrine outside of the Holy Scripture the Holy Spirit did not minister that word for I find no place where that the Holy Spirit gives the authoritative doctrine for everything in the Holy Scriptures is of God. For God makes it clear from the very beginning that it is His judgment and statutes that must be kept. However, the Holy Spirit, constantly stirring the minds and conscience of Christians to remind us that the Holy Scriptures enables us to understand the covenants of God, the judgments of God, the commands of God, as well as God’s instructions given by the Holy Spirit to Israel, the church, and the last days.

Know your enemy of the spirit of antichrist

Each and every Christian needs to know what is taking place in the world today and with God’s chosen people for God gave them the prophetic word of the Holy Scriptures first. In addition, I believe that Israel chosen people and God will fulfill His word around them and for them. From the first covenant with Israel God has always warned them about false prophets and their enemy. We the Body of Christ today need to know our enemy furthermore; we need to know God’s enemies of His chosen people as well as this thought why God is so mindful of His creation.

Knowing your enemy and the spirit of antichrist is to know the spiritual wickedness in high places also reflects the operation of the spirit of antichrist. Within the warnings that the Lord and His apostles made to then and to the Body of Christ today was in this fact that those who contrary the word of God. Furthermore, it is those individuals who work or operate in the false doctrine do operate in the spirit of antichrist.
