My Search for What is Spiritual Second Edition Chapter One

CHAPTER ONE

The root of Spiritual Leadership

What is a spiritual leader?

There are several terms or definitions one might use for “spiritual leadership or spiritual leaders” and the term brings to mind different things to different individuals. Some may think of him or her as a life teacher or maybe a life coach, on the other hand one who can guide others through the problems and trails of life. The Holy Scriptures describes a spiritual leader as one who possesses the spiritual gift of leadership; or the office of the five-fold ministry written by Paul in Ephesians 4, with the ability to lead and equip others as directed by the Holy Spirit, and performed their duty of ministry power by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Scriptures or the biblical spiritual leader understands that his or her, own leadership or responsibility to be an individual as one of servanthood unto the Lord God. The spiritual leader leads by their example, as Jesus did while He walk amongst us, who said He came to serve others, not to be served by them Matthew 20:25-28. The spiritual leader also recognizes that he or she is first and foremost a servant unto God and others as Christ did by keeping the will of His Father. Our Lord Jesus Christ modeled the true servant model of a spiritual leadership, when He, the Lord incarnate, bent down and washed His disciples’ feet, therefore, teaching them the true act or true measure of a spiritual leader is the individual who serve others first John 13:12-17.

The spiritual leader in leadership also recognizes that his or her role in the church is “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” Ephesians 4:12 NRSV, and he or she concerns themselves with doing just that. Spiritual leaders also know that their main task is to sanctify the people or saints of God by their prayers in the same manner as Jesus’ prayer to the Father: “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth” John 17:17 NIV. Like Jesus, the spiritual leader knows the Word of God is the spiritual food for the soul and that it alone sanctifies and delivers the soul from the hands of evil. Rather than acquiescing to the “felt needs of felt wants” of the people he or she leads, he or she shepherds’ others to spiritual maturity in faith by speaking the truth in love so that the he or she leads, “will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ” Ephesians 4:15 NIV.

Finally, the spiritual leader is concerned with the soul and of those he or she leads. This is not to say that he or she cares nothing for the physical needs of his or her people or congregation. However, his or her primarily responsibility is leading them to spiritual maturity so that they will be fully equipped and “no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming” Ephesians 4:14 NIV.

Laying the root or foundation of a spiritual leader!

In this first chapter we will try to lay a foundation for understanding our roots in the relationship with God as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers which are the office of the five-fold ministry. Therefore, before trying to describe a spiritual leader and what a spiritual leader is capable of, we need to look at the root of where, why, and how it all began. We must therefore begin by describing what a spiritual leader is. Many scholars and theologians may say that a spiritual leader is a different class of people in the church in the scriptural sense that they do not give light to whom is a non-believer who has not yet come to the light.

In laying a foundation for priests, prophets, and kings are the three offices and anointing in the Holy Scriptures under the law that God instructed Moses. However, under the New Testament Paul addresses them as the five-fold ministry for equipping the saints Ephesians 4:11. Yet the role of prophet, priest, and king office played an important role in the Hebrew Tanakh, which is the Old Testament. Let me state this that throughout the Old Testament you will find books of the prophets such as Jeremiah and Isaiah, books of priestly writings the book of Chronicles and Ezra are priestly books. Then we have the books of Judges and kings, of Nehemiah and proverbs were written which makes up the context of these three offices. One might go so far as to say that the four gospels as a New Testament understanding of the Torah or law, the book of Acts and the epistles as the writing, and finally the book of Revelation as the book of the prophets.

The root of spiritual leaders and leadership goes all the way back to Noah of who found grace in the eye of the Lord. The second was Abraham and his seed Isaac and then the twelve tribes of Israel. However, the most important leader and anointed One from the kingdom of God is Jesus Christ our Lord. I must be so bold as to say that spiritual leaders are not just one or two individuals within the church that are appointed by the church, however, they are appointed by God. Furthermore, spiritual leaders of the church have been designated by God and Christ Jesus who hold the office of prophet, priest and kings according to the book of Acts. However, let us look at where the root of real ministry began in the womb of two mothers.

The first mother according to the New Testament was the mother of John the Baptist and the second mother is the mother of Jesus. According to the gospels it is upon the entrance of John the Baptist public ministry and when the heavens opened up and the Spirit of God descending like a dove upon Christ that the root of ministry for the church of the last days began. It was after Jesus death on the cross and His resurrection that the Spirit of God was poured out upon all flesh according to the prophetic word of the prophet Joel. It was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost Acts 2:16-17. However, let me back up and state that earlier, that the Disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit when Jesus breathed upon them John 20:22-23. It is the power of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit that brings forth the regeneration of the soul, which is our new birth. Therefore, in that new birth comes the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that makes us the temple of God and the Holy Spirit. According to Peter we are a spiritual house or living stones 1 Peter 2:5. It is by this anointing we become a regenerated people, sanctified and set apart unto the Almighty God as servants of the ministry and its spiritual service.

Moving forward into the next step of the root of spiritual leadership is the call of God. The one thing I feel could really explain the calling that Christ brought upon Saul and later became known as Paul. Paul’s call was chosen by Christ and ordained by Christ as a chosen instrument to the Gentiles. The calling of Paul is recorded three times in the book of Acts. One might interpret that Paul was separated out by Christ to be the spiritual leader unto the Gentiles or a prophet unto them as well as all nations and the church today.

Paul is called to walk a narrow way or path of life concerning the grace of God has been given to him by Christ Jesus for the gospel to be proclaimed. Paul asks the same question that we all ask, however, why do you call me to do these things. I believe that Paul as the other Disciples were called to share in the holiness of Christ, as Christ was predestined to be conformed to the image of God’s Son in the flesh that God might fulfill His promise unto Israel and all humanity.

Let us look at this fact, what if Paul did not respond to God and Christ’s call. When we consider the calling of Saul of Tarsus and the voice of authority that came out of the light that blinded Saul. In this conversion it resulted in a new development for the church and the way of God in the New Covenant which Paul would write to the Hebrew people in the book of Hebrews 8. At the time of Saul’s Divine calling he was instructed to go to Damascus. In the next three days that followed, Saul was given a vision that a man by the name of Ananias would come to him and he would regain his sight.

In the calling to ministry what we are seeking to understand is the general sense of God’s leadership in the life of the apostle Paul and what prompted him to switch from being a Pharisee to preaching the gospel as an apostle. Leadership in ministry you can find all kinds of labels that have to sort out in terms or contrast to your church of local congregational ministry. However, today more than then we tend to draw a very distinct line of distinction between what office we are called into today because of so many churches and faiths.

A spiritual leader in their undertaking of the spiritual system of spiritual theology is concerning speaking the words that was the spiritual root from the beginning. The spiritual root begins with God and Christ’ nature, their perfection, Person, purpose, ways, works, and Their Words for there is no other God and I will go to say religion is a vain thing? What I am stating is in spiritual matters it is what I believe, in what we do, since there is no other principle than these principles of faith in God and our Lord. After a spiritual leader considers the nature, perfection and person of God and Christ, how shall they proceed to treat the acts of the spiritual operation? According to the Holy Scriptures, the act of spiritual works of God should be distinguished as the internal and external acts that are done within their very being. The spiritual covenant of God, which flows within are very being and these are the effects of love, peace, grace, and mercy of God. Again, these are the foundation of the spiritual covenant if a spiritual relationship.

Christ has set up the ongoing covenant of the works of the first Adam as the offspring that represents today’s generation or seed. God through the prophets brings out every flowing grace from the Old to the New Testaments in the legal sense that Christ is the foundation and the Connor stone that brings adoption to Jews and Gentiles. Therefore, the act of spiritual adoption commences in the relation of children.

In my book MY Search for What is Spiritual, I wrote a few things about the spiritual mind. The spiritual individual also has the contrast between a carnal mind and a spiritual mind; it is strongly expressed by Paul in Romans 8:7-8. Who are the men and women who do mind the spiritual things and are they spiritual? According to the scriptures, they are individuals who are after the Spirit of Christ. However, the spiritual leader has to teach that the flesh is the carnal mind and the spiritual mind is of the things of God.

First, I would say the mind of men and women today describe themselves in what they say and do in their walk of faith. Paul wrote a lot about the mind of Christ in his epistles to the churches where he had ministered. Not all men and women think they are spiritual. However, that is not what the Holy Scriptures or the prophets of the Holy Scriptures say that the spiritual judgeth all things yet they judge no one. What I mean is that the spiritual individual must recognize the gifts of the spiritual gifts and fruits making a sharp distinction, between what are truth and what is false in teachers and prophets. In addition, God gave the individual the gift to teach and the gift to preach and to another the gift of prophecy. Furthermore, one who teaches is the teacher, and the one who prophesies is a prophet. In addition, I can find no difference between the prophet of the Old Testament and the prophet of the New Testament; however, they are the prophets of God.

The Holy Scriptures of God describes the root or the beginning of a spiritual individual is done by the water and the Spirit according to John and Paul. However, to the spiritual leader is taught this baptizing with water and Spirit that was spoken of by Peter on the Day of Pentecost. This is an act of washing or cleansing, the nature body from corruptible, to be incorruptible.

In the spiritual realm or spiritual sense of new birth or cleansing reminds me of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden where they eat of the forbidden fruit and gain the knowledge of good and evil. Another way of stating what took place in the garden was that they gain spiritual insight of what was good and evil. With this thought in mind of what spiritual insight might be, I feel that Paul when he writes to the church at Corinth about the gifts of the Spirit is right in line for spiritual understanding. One of these spiritual gifts recorded in 1 Corinthians 12 is the gift of spiritual discernment of the natural man with the spiritual man or the gift of discernment of what is good and what is evil.

The spiritual leader in discerning of spiritual things needs to make judgments and try to show a more excellent way. Their understanding is to enlighten the revelation and wisdom in knowledge of Christ in them. Furthermore, they are to behold the fullness of the Savior and to hear the Word of God and Christ Jesus with pleasure as a joyful sound of enteral life. In the Old Testament and in the New Testament, the doctrines of the law and the gospel are to be sweet to the taste for they are the shadow of the things to come. Why? Because God and Christ are of the spiritual nature and worship is to be done in a sweet savor.

The spiritual root is also the spiritual life to come, and in the life to come we will all eat of the tree of life in the paradise of God and eat of the fruit which is upon it, Revelation 2:7. The Word of Christ is power of God unto us for working in the ministry. In the spiritual relation, the good work of grace, love, patience, hope, faith to perform the perfect work of what is spiritual. Many individuals may not agree with this thought: the law of grace we are under reigns as the law of the Spirit of God that frees us from the law of sin and death and appears in the spiritual being Romans 8. The question has been asked many times: What is the understanding of God’s laws and God’s grace? What is grace? We all know that it is something that we do not deserve. In addition, we understand it is God’s unmerited favor to us. Therefore, if there was no law of sin and death, then there would be no reason for God to give us the spiritual law of grace in the New Covenant.

In what is known since the reform of the church Protestantism, Martin Luther pointed out the true biblical heritage of law and grace. Out of this reform came the law that verse grace. What I am saying is if we do not have both how can, we have a spiritual focus of what makes us closer to God and Christ Jesus. Let us consider these words of Paul in Romans 8:6-9. Paul, states and I feel he is saying in this contrast of the natural mind and the spiritual mind, the natural mind is the mind of darkness and not the mind of Christ. The problem is clear that the natural mind does not want the law of faith, Romans 3:27, the law of the Spirit Romans 8:2, and finally the law of Christ Galatians 6:2. Paul also makes it clear in his writing to Titus that the law of grace has appeared and therefore has brought salvation to all people. In addition, Paul links the law of God and the law of God’s grace to being obedient to the works of God. It is the law of God’s grace to free us from the law of sin and death that we establish the spirit of life in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You know, down through the years of my life and ministry I have heard it said I don’t have to go to church to worship. Well, I agree to a point on this line of reasoning. However, what does the Holy Scriptures say about the House of God and the love for God’s House? Regarding this subject of the House of God, let us start by looking at what the prophet Isaiah says, the prophet Isaiah states that the House of God is a place to go for instruction of God’s Words being taught. Isaiah also said that it is the House to be exalted above the hills and nations, in addition, a House where the Divine Teacher of the New Covenant walks with believers or Christians. It is a place to be joyful and a House of Prayer according to Isaiah 56:7 and a House of universal worship. A House of God, church a place where we go to lay our spiritual offering, to God upon God’s altar to make His House a House of glory. It is also stating in the Holy Scriptures that God’s House is a place of God’s affection and His habitation.

Now we come to the real issue of attendance in the House of God, Deuteronomy 12:5 where God makes it clear that we are to seek the place of the Lord. In other words, God has given a Divine command to seek and come to the House of the Lord that He will put His Name. For all the House of Israel God said in Deuteronomy 16:16 that they were to appear before the Lord God three times a year and they shall give, as they are able. I like this part about the House of God where God pronounces blessing upon them who are praising Him. In addition, even Hezekiah went to the House of God in a time pf trouble for God’s refuge. You can even find examples of the Lord Jesus going to the House of God on the Sabbath. Paul when he wrote to the House of Israel in Hebrews 10:25 states that we are not to forsake assembling ourselves together. Most of all in the Old and New Testaments you will find that on the Sabbath Day they went to the House of God.

In the book of 1 Peter 2:5 Peter tells about a spiritual house. Paul in addition, writes about the spiritual house but refers to it as the spiritual temple, and if we defile that temple God will destroy. I feel you should know according to Paul in 2 Corinthians 6:16 “What agreement hath the temple of God with idols?” Therefore, if you use the temple of God and God has an agreement with that temple, idols or sin do not belong within that temple. According to Paul in Ephesians 2:21, ye are a house built and framed together in union for the spiritual growth in the Lord.

Let us consider another side of the spiritual house and going back to the days of the Disciples and the biblical history of the church. This was a time of the Jews experiencing all of the traumatic events of the Roman Empire, the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem and all of these events wondering where God was. Yet even today, the Jewish and Gentile Christians living in the land of Israel are living their lives shattered by the military of the world. When we look back to the year 70 A. D. and the temple of the Jews and the state of mind or crisis that made for disorientation or unbelief must have been devastating. What would it be like to know that you are without a temple of church? I have been trying to imagine what it would be like for Jewish people who are a covenant people for all of the major changes to occur and that the aftermath of their tremendous loss. The only thing I can come up with is this it must be like losing your home with a fire.

In reading 1 Peter 2:4-5 and now knowing I am a living stone which means I am ready to become a part of the temple or household of God. Now if we look at the time frame of the Jewish temple being, destroyed we may also relate they were a household or family. The biblical term for the house is family. Peter, I feel was saying to be part of the spiritual house or the spiritual community you have to let your identity be made known that constitutes the spiritual image of God. When you read 1 Peter 2:9 you can see that they had to show and make known that they were called out of darkness into the glorious light. In other word, these individuals are letting it be known that they were God’s people.

The Subject of Spiritual Leaders “A Deeply Important One”

On the subject of a spiritual leaders or spiritual leadership a deeply important one is in the evidence of their teaching of the Holy Scriptures. In fact, they must be subject to the Holy Written Word and God’s written covenants within the Holy Scriptures written in God’s judgment. From the foundation of the Old and New Testaments, that spiritually teaches both testaments and obeys God with the binding examples of God’s statutes and judgments. These statutes and judgments are the doctrines of God and therefore are more universal by standards and principles we have today in the New Covenant and furthermore, being a minister duty of spiritual authority in the ministry of God Almighty and His Son Christ Jesus.

Therefore, by writing this second edition of what is spiritual is to demonstrate the real authority clearly that God has written if you want to say this way as an overall view of a democracy, we call the church. In the church democracy, there are doctrines or rules that have the spiritual identity as the spiritual leader in leadership. The scriptural identifies are recorded in the five-fold ministry for equipping the saints Ephesians 4:11. The scriptural identifies as pastors, teachers, prophets, evangelists, and apostles, and then Paul speaks of elders in 1 Timothy 4:14 and bishops in 1 Timothy 3:1. Now we find in Ephesians 4:11 the office listed above, therefore, meaning God has appointed or given authority as a process for spiritual leadership.

A spiritual leader involves many principles and standards as well as one’s own profile, is these issues is to be understood as what it takes to be a successful spiritual leader. The profile reflects on who we are as a spiritual leader as well as are performance as a spiritual leader. During my years of ministry, I have read as well as hear many men and women with the lack of confidence and security to move forward with boldness and strength. The reason is because of the lack of confidence to accept God’s calling. There are many other issues in the purpose of God’s will in each of our callings as spiritual leaders.

Let us begin with these understanding the profiles of what a spiritual leader needs to be to lead others to the Lord and for the Lord. First a spiritual leader needs a dream or vision of what they envision before they go out to minister for God and God’s Word. Secondly, the spiritual leader needs to be all fired up with a spiritual zeal burning within them which will bring out their very best which is profitable for the Lord God. The third is important, however, it is also vital that a spiritual leader needs to know how to bounce back. The forth for a spiritual leader is to set their sights on their goals and make them high or aim high I state this because of what Paul wrote to the church in Philippi where Paul states “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14 KJV) The fifth a spiritual leader needs to plain or prepare for the times of trails and troubles that will surly come against them. The sixth thing that a spiritual leader needs is that you never depend upon luck for if you do you will fall right into the traps of Satan for luck is not a quality of God it is the quality of the world. The seventh one for a spiritual leader is that you never quite and never, never, stop defending upon the Lord.

Spiritual leaders are to use the ultimate Leaders which is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as their examples in spiritual leadership. Everyone should know that these three are the ultimate Leaders in leadership. Furthermore, spiritual leadership is not just saying I am in charge or I am the boss. A spiritual leader is one individual who takes the examples Christ taught when He said “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give His life as a ransom for many” Matthew 20:20. In addition, when we consider the Lord’s Supper and after the meal the Lord humbled Himself before His Disciples and washed their feet. A spiritual leader should have the attitude to where they put others ahead of themselves and also consider them more important than themselves.

When the church began after the Day of Pentecost was a time when God poured out His Spirit upon all flesh as well as the spiritual power upon spiritual leadership beginning with the apostles and them in the upper room. That very day what took place was 3,000 individuals became believers in the gospel of Christ and were filled with the Spirit of God fully. The spiritual leader is to develop in prayer, knowledge, wisdom, and faith to change the hearts of many for a covenant relationship with Christ and God Almighty. What I am saying as many others have said, you must have a changed heart to be a good spiritual leader as well as a good Christian. Furthermore, if you have a changed heart you then have a spiritual attitude. A spiritual leader should as I have stated before have a strong vision. It is in this strong vision God gives you and me the spiritual principles for spiritual maturity. When this occurs, the spiritual desires will develop into spiritual answers.

The language it is not just the unknown, tongues it is more much more. Spiritual language can be and is the faith we speak and teach which; is the gospel of Christ and the Word of God. Let us look in the Holy Scriptures about who was called the father of faith, Abraham. When I really looked at what Abraham did when God came to him and said, get all you own and go into the land that I will show you and there swell and the land will be yours.

Abraham is one of the first to face the problem of being obedient and willing to face the unknown. I do not know, but I think that Abraham, who saw the reality of having a dream or vision and wanted the fulfillment of that vision or dream. We as spiritual leaders need to be an individual person of vision until it becomes a reality by God’s call to those things, which are not of this world; however, they are of the world to come down out of heaven.

A spiritual leader is a spiritual being, using their intellect and emotion for the whole Body of Christ. Once you have received your spiritual direction and vision of Christ, you change your heart your direction to the attitude of success, not failure. There are some who would say that spiritual leadership is not the same as military, political or corporate leadership. However, within the pages of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments points out the similarities between these kinds of leadership. It is also well to note that, spiritual leaders as Christian leaders do not all have the same talents or traits to be a successful leader. My reason for saying this is to be effective in leading a congregation or the Body of Christ, you have to have the spiritual dynamic of spiritual leadership that is required by God in his or her calling.

First and foremost, any individual who wants to be a spiritual leader has to become a person devoted to God’s Word and God’s call. They must become a scribe, teacher, prophet, evangelist, apostle, or pastor a minister with a set heart studying to be prepared to proclaim the law of God, God’s covenants in the application of a spiritual life situation. Furthermore, their prayer life must not be self-centered by human character of humankind. They must move people in the right direction without manipulating them.

Like Abraham, the task of the spiritual leader is to move in the direction where God wants them to be. First and foremost, I will say this one has to depend fully upon the Holy Spirit to work within what the God of Heaven has told the Holy Spirit to use in their spiritual maturity or growth. All spiritual leaders should understand the Divine ability and teach that ability in order to deliver and to raise; up others to be the children of the Almighty God. Now the Divine ability is a covenant relationship for us to make a spiritual fellowship with God. Spiritual ability is also the spiritual clothes of guarding our soul to be that spiritual treasure for Christ Jesus.

Spiritual ability is also giving according to your ability. For we find in the book of Acts 11:28-29 where it states that there was a severe famine throughout the land and the Apostles gave according to every man. However, in 2 Corinthians 8:10-13 we can see that giving is about advice that carries into the effect of wise counsel. Spiritual giving is now performed in the doing it out of which you have. Therefore, by the spiritual advice you give you will teach others how to ease the burdened. Consider what 2 Corinthians 9:3 has, to say to the spiritual leader and giving of themselves beyond their power. In addition, praying for the fellowship of others in ministering.

In the gospel of Luke 9:57-62, Christ speaks these words for followers or those who say they will do what the Lord seeks of them. In these texts of scriptures, I find these kinds of followers of Christ. The “first” is the emotional follower that claims that they will follow Christ wherever Christ goes. Christ response to him as well as others today that they will not always have a place to sleep or a roof to cover their head from the storms. What Christ is saying is your faith is going to be tested if you follow me. Furthermore, there will be times of poverty and times of humiliation for my sake. The “second” is the excuses follower, this follower is the one that says wait until I do this and I will go where you want Lord. This kind of follower of “Procrastination” and needs to be described is in their causes and for their cause. The “third” follower is a farewells follower and this type of followers is one who claims God and Christ first and then turns around and says they need to do something else.

Going back and stating it in another manner the first follower is worldly entanglements, which goes all the way back to the book of Genesis 19 with Lot and his family in Sodom and Gomorrah. Then the second follower is also about family and family cares of why they are making an excuse to this fact that the family is more important than following the Lord and doing His work. The third follower and his excuse according to the book of Acts is when they heard of the resurrection of the dead they mocked in unbelief. The point of logic for using the book of Acts example is in two-fold meaning the first this follower is also about family cares; however, it is also a form of making light of his claim to follow Christ.

Furthermore, let us look further into this matter how many people have made excuses to justify their doing wrong. Using the biblical example of Adam eating of what was forbidden. Aaron also made excuses for making the golden calf. Now we need to look at the seven excuses of what the Prophets and Disciples offered as regarding our neglect of duty in the church of Almighty God. The first is with Moses and the same with most of us, which is personal in our feeling of incompetence. We find this example in Exodus 3:11 where Moses stands in the presence of God and makes the excuses with this statement: “God whom am I that I should tell Pharaoh to let your people go?” In addition, Moses uses yet another excuse about the way he talks. Now let us look at Gideon, when Gideon told God of his lack of social power or social grace and position in society. Here is another from the words of Solomon and he is pointing out the fact in Proverbs 22:13 of a lazy person, of their difficulties of undertaking, to make excuses why he cannot do something. Now there is the prophet Jeremiah who states in Jeremiah 1:6-7 tells God of his personal weakness as why he cannot go and speak to the House of Israel. Jeremiah tried to tell God that he had the mind of a child. God therefore responded back to Jeremiah and said “Thou shalt go and speak all that I command thee.” Finally, in Jesus’ parable of the talents bring out the point of the hardness of the master. The point of hardness I am making in this parable is just this what Christ has given you if you do not use it Christ will take it back and give it to someone else.

Throughout the Old and New Testaments, I believe I would be safe in saying, I do not know for sure, but I feel that Christ is pointing out why people make excuses why they cannot do service to the ability He has given them. Then it is this sad excuse why there is no need to discover their identity for their spiritual blindness. Finally, the excuse of spiritual pressure in Christian living and why they cannot go to the King’s Son’s wedding feast. These excuses were written in the parable of the king preparing a wedding feast for his son’s wedding and when he sent out his servant to bid them come they made light and all with one consent made excuses why they could not come Luke 14:18. These excuses have been recorded so that every spiritual leader can make the point that our Lord taught the very fact of why and how people make excuses for the neglect of duty.

As a spiritual leader, we need to understand what Christ meant when He stated in Matthew 12:36-39 about accountability, that it is personal. Jesus meant every word, that on the Day of Judgment what they will be held accountable for. Long before this prophetic word was given by Christ the prophet Ezekiel was given the prophetic word to warn the watchman and the shepherd what was require of them Ezekiel 33-34. Moreover, Jesus makes it clear in Matthew 18:23 that the King will take account of His servants. Paul in addressing the church at Rome wrote unto them that everyone would give an account to God themselves.

God started back with Aaron with anointing him for service to the House of Israel and to God. When we look deep into the anointing, we can see that God gave us an anointing to be seen as that He has made us and set us apart for the sacred use as a spiritual leader. Not only has that, but the anointing made us an example of a person consecrated by God. In 1 John 2:27 what John writes about anointing is we have the anointing of teaching of truth, instruction and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that we shall abide in Christ.

The Knowledge of God!

As I have written a few things in other books about spiritual knowledge, now I would like to deal with it a little more in the deeper meaning of God’s knowledge. In the knowledge of God, He knows everything, which is possible, all His creation, of past, present and the things yet to come. In addition, God knows all of heaven and hell. A spiritual leader, you need to be acquainted with each and every issue recorded in the Holy Scriptures understanding God’s knowledge in His judgments and statutes. I can honestly say this solemn fact; nothing is concealed from God and Christ. Just because God is invisible to us, we are not invisible to Him. Mankind would be stripped of all of God’s Deity because of the human mind that is enmity against God according to Romans 8:7. I know that wickedness comes naturally and therefore, would naturally be hated by God Human-beings wish there might be no witness of their sins and no one to understand the meaning of their heart and finally no one to judge them.

However, because God has written His laws upon the heart, God knows the countenance and truth of their hearts. In addition, profoundly and mysteriously and quite incomprehensible to my friends, God knows me. To every individual I would encourage them to pray and petition God for a capable spiritual mind for understanding of God’s intent of their heart. Spiritual leaders, remember the mind of God is capable of paying attention to millions of minds. Furthermore, God knows how many stars there are in the heavens, and grains of sands of the earth. What I am saying, to the minds that praying to God does not have any lack in paying attention to any language or deep expression of our soul. I like what the prophet Isaiah said “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking I will hear.” “Isaiah 65:24 KJV)

Then we must also relate to the perfect knowledge of God that illustrates every prophecy or prophetic message in His Divine Word both Old and New Testaments. I will go on to state no command, vow, oath, commandment, or covenant with the House of Israel and all humanity could have been stated more perfectly than by the knowledge of God. God knew in all of His judgments what to make conditional, and what to make unconditional in His works for the House of Israel and all humanity regarding living for Him. I feel that this should be known about God’s knowledge, neither that any of God’s knowledge nor any condition in the future to be considered that will not come to pass.
