Commentary Book of Revelation
Revelation William W Warner Jr. Personal Studies
THE BOOK OF REVELATION OUTLINE
STRUCTURE OF STUDY FOR THE BOOK OF REVELATION
This is my personal commentary which began back in 2003 while in the state of West Virginia where that I was pastoring; and I do strongly believe, that in this first chapter of Revelation: Where that I believe that it is the preface and introduction to the rest of the book of Revelation. Yet it was during my first few years of not pastoring churches full time that I became more aware of my personal need to study the book of Revelation. However, today in 2019 this pastor finds it to be a greater need to understand the prophetic message of the book of Revelation.
Let it be known this truth that when I receive my first preaching Bible after doing a funeral, I do strongly believe that was the moment that God’s Spirit began to pour in the hunger and thirst to understand the Revelation of Jesus Christ. No at that time it was not the book of Revelation it was just the book of Revelation it was just the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Yes, at that time in the starting of my ministry it was a word by word; verse by verse, and phrase by phrase knowledge of the scriptures I wanted to understand completely. The main text of scripture that kept coming into my mind was in Matthew 5 verse 6 which states: “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6 KJV This is a text of scripture that still stirs my inter-being with a spiritual quest to be filled with the knowledge of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Nevertheless, as I write this personal commentary the memories of the past will from time to time keep coming up in this commentary of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. One thing this pastor; teacher, and writer knows for sure that God has commission or appointed every individual He has called for His Divine purpose and it has been stated throughout the Holy Bible and both testaments of the Bible in various ways.
As it is known by the very many writers, interpreters, scholars, and theologians who read and study the book of Revelation who clearly state unto you that there is much controversy over the book of Revelation. In addition, before I write my own personal, opinion or understanding that there are others who have more knowledge of this book of Revelation than I do. Therefore, let it be known that this my own personal studies for the writing of my own personal commentary, that it will be doing an in an in-depth study on my part because of the prophetic message of the coming events which requires studying many texts of scriptures of God’s prophetic words given by Him spoken unto His prophets in the Old Testament and to His apostles in the New Testament. Therefore, on might in addition, say that it is a series of prophecy that have been given unto the apostle John by God’s Son for Israel, and the church living in the last days.
As I begin my personal study for writing for a commentary about the book of Revelation, I strongly believe that each verse of scripture is vital, however, yet when you hear many teaching on the book of Revelation to be honest with you, I only hear a small portion of what the text is saying or stating. In addition, this book of Revelation is a Divine Revelation, for it is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. It makes me sad every time that when I stop and think about how often that this book of Revelation is in so many ways is misconstrued, misinterpreted, about our Lord’s revealing His Revelation. Of course, what is sadder that many are not concerned about what going to take place in the coming days, unto Israel, and the church living in the last days. Yes, let me be clear that there are other prophetic warnings written in the New Testament alone, however, you will also find that these warnings are stating in the Old Testament first unto the prophets of old. Yes, these prophetic prophecies are the final prophetic warnings that are given by our Lord for the church to make ready the coming days before His return. However, there is yet another truth we need to consider and that is so many good Christian people are very intimidated by this mysterious book of apocalyptic language recorded in the book of Revelation.
Yet one might also interpret it in this manner that here in the book of Revelation it is a Divine and Holy pronouncement that reveals a Holy truth of the coming days and the Lord God Almighty final warning before He pours out His wrath upon the inhabitants of the earth. It is well for me to note that you or I cannot fully understand this prophecy of the book of Revelation without understanding how the prophecy Old Testament prophecies that was given unto to the prophets both major and minor prophets are still coming to pass in the prophecy of the book of Revelation. When the servants and saints of the church today receive a revelation of a truth that God has given them it is for their enlightenment that they may know His Divine revelation will take place in the coming events recorded in the Holy Scriptures. Yes, there is a challenging task ahead for each Christian reader of the book of Revelation on this very question: How do I understand the book of Revelation personally?
Furthermore, as you begin to examine the preface and introduction of the book of Revelation it is well to make known that some interpreters of the book of Revelation feel that the first eight verses of the book of Revelation is the preface, however, I strongly believe that it is the whole chapter in Revelation 1 that is the preface and introduction to the book of Revelation for the church then and for the modern-day evangelical churches today.

A PERSONAL INTRODUCTION TO THE BOOK OF REVELATION
STARTING WITH PERSONAL QUESTION:
QUESTION 1 WHY STUDY THE BOOK OF REVELATION?
WHY IS THE BOOK OF REVELATION NEGLECTED?
These are my two main questions; that I needed to be addressed. Why is that I needed a personal understanding of the prophetic word of the book of Revelation. In addition, I therefore, kept asking myself personally as I study from the pages of the book of Revelation this question: Will I half to face the mark of the beast and the great tribulation? Yes, it has been stated by many others, long before this pastor ever even thought, seriously about writing a personal commentary on the book of Revelation. Generally, speaking about prophecy and especially the prophecy of the book of Revelation that I believe that most individuals within the modern-day church today have a problem with which is the final, outcome of prophecy written in the book of Revelation. Yet the prophecy of the book of Revelation embraces the prophetic word of prophecy regarding Israel, and the modern-day churches that are living in the last days. In the words of this final prophecy, I truly believe contains the message of the past; present, and future events to come.
Now a brief statement about understanding the reasons or reasoning of why the book of Revelation is neglected. I strongly believe that this neglect did truly started in the garden with the fall of man and, in addition, where God at that time put a curse upon Satan, and Satan has been placing within many, to neglect the word of God from the very beginning. Furthermore, let it be known that Satan does all, that he can possible do to the saints of the church to bring confusion about God’s word so that we will not keep the commandments of God. Moreover, Satan will continue to bring this confusion unto the saints of the church then and to the modern-day church today. Which I will write more about later as I write in this commentary to where that the beast is granted to make war with the saints, Revelation 13:7.
Let me be so bold as to state just a small thought of why so many do not read or study the book of Revelation: Some do not read it because they do not read the other books of prophecy in the Bible, in addition, they do not even rely on the Holy Spirit to give the patience to read it. Yes, I can give you many reasons of why that we should study the book of Revelation along with the other prophecy in the Bible. Let me addresses you with this understanding in this question form: Do you know what eternal judgment means? Secondly, do you truly know what eternal punishment means? These two questions alone to my way of thinking are two questions with a much-vialed reasons to study the book of Revelation and its prophecy. Furthermore, the book of Revelation holds the prophetic message of Jesus, and of the final events that will come to pass in the coming days before His return.
Before we get into a major study of the book of Revelation, let me state this, that I personally want it to be known that from the mind of this pastor, that first and foremost I give God all, the glory and praise for Him for giving unto His Son This Holy and Divine Revelation to be revealed unto His servants the things which must shortly come to pass. In addition, to praise God; and His Son, for the Holy Spirit that has brought me through every tribulation; and again, that the Holy Spirit has brought me through and has taught me what I know in His Holy Word and what I write in this commentary about the Revelation of Jesus. In addition, to note that what I am writing in this commentary will be both from a personal view and theological view; however, it is all about the Revelation of Jesus Christ the prophetic messages He sends to the seven churches as well as all, of the other events that will happen in the coming days.
Therefore, it should be stated early in this manner: Let me say this that I will continue to state it over and over that the book of Revelation for the most part is the most neglected book of the whole Bible and you can hear many opinions of why that it is the most neglected book of the Bible. Yet there is yet another vital point of view that needs to be stated which many individual writers; scholars, and theologians states, that the book of Revelation is the mysteries or the hidden things of God and that it is not meant to be understood. If this were the case then why we are, able to hear what the Spirit of God is saying or revealing unto saints and servants of the modern-day church that is truly living in the last days, an in addition, having an understanding of His prophetic revelation. Furthermore, then we as the servants and saints of the church need to consider two major key elements of life which is process; and discovery, of why our Father in heaven has been revealing His Divine judgments into our lives from the very beginning when “God said, let us make man in our image and after our likeness” Genesis 1:26. The point of reality is this that if we are created in God’s image and His likeness then it should be clear that God wants to say something to you or reveal something unto you.
Yet there are many, many visions which have been recorded in the book of Revelation and written by the apostle John that I personally believe that it reveals two important key facts the first is the “prophetic visions” shown unto John were for the church. And the second one is the “prophetic message” given unto the servants of Christ of the events of the coming days which pertains to Israel, and the church living in the last days written throughout the pages of the Holy Bible. Honestly what are the “prophetic vision”, “prophetic revelation”, or “prophetic message” that we Christians read today which is recorded in the book of Revelation that is revealing the prophetic word or revelation sent by Jesus Christ: Yes, it is about the events of the coming days, as well as the prophetic warning of the coming days, in addition, it is about the blessing and reward for those who gain the victory by living in the will of God now and in the days to come. Yes, to be honest with you that you will find the bad recorded in the book of Revelation, as well as the good that is written in the book of Revelation, and finally you also will find the ugly in the book of Revelation.
The Holy Bible is full of prophecy which has been predicted, and of what God has spoken down through the many generations of the creation of man, and these prophecies that were given were of the many warnings of God, as well as the many events that God told unto the prophets, and that these prophecies would occur and the way that God proclaimed they would occur. Therefore, it is by the prophecy of the book of Revelation that is going to awake many, within this modern-day evangelical church and this very world with a Divine truth, that God is going to pour out His wrath upon the inhabitants of this world. I feel and believe that it is safe in saying this that the world and its inhabitants has just about reached the limit of God’s grace and mercy, because of our pride and our arrogance, and of our greed and selfishness to the level where God will not tolerate it any longer. Therefore, this is just one of the things I do feel and believe strongly, that the prophecy of the book of Revelation is so vital for the church then and especially to the modern-day evangelical church today that we are to teach and proclaim the prophecy of the book of Revelation, for I truly believe that our time is running out.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is God’s way of revealing His Divine and Holy course of action that is going to happen in the coming days, unto Israel, and the church, which is living in the last days. Yes, I further can say this with all honesty that the book of Revelation is full of God’s warning, God’s promises to whom He has called, and the His judgment that will fall upon the inhabitants of the earth. Yes, during my many years of ministry I have seen how that many individuals disregard the warnings of this prophecy of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. In addition, of the things which must shortly come to past recorded in the book of Revelation concerning the fact that these catastrophic events are about to happen. Yet the in all truth that everyone wants to know the future of what is going to happen and how it will affect them: The truth is that it has been predicted by God, and by the prophets of old, and the apostles of the New Testament and now it has been predicted by Jesus Christ in His revelation unto His servants the things to come in the coming days.
Also, in all, of these catastrophic events that are about to come to pass, therefore, the reasons of why these prophetic and apostolic words are recorded in the pages of the book of Revelation which takes you into the word of God, all the way back to the prophetic words of the prophets of which is recorded in the pages of the Old Testament. Yes, for my own personal understanding I have done much studying and researching through many of the other commentaries and through many other translations of the Bible to gain a better and full understanding of the prophecy of the book of Revelation. It is also well for me to repeat here early that this a personal commentary of which I am writing that will contain many of my personal outlines as an objective study for my own personal method for the need of how to completely understand the prophetic word of Jesus prophecy in this book of Revelation. Therefore, my hope and prayer is this that as you study with me it will bring about a life changing experience regarding the prophetic and apostolic meaning of the prophecy of Jesus Christ our Lord.
The book of Revelation is the most controversial book in the Bible.
Yes, it can be state again, and again, that the book of Revelation has down through the centuries caused more major discussion and division between many denomination, churches, and families over the message Jesus has sent to the seven churches as well as the rest of the visions that were given unto John about the coming events. Then this question I find to be in order: What is it about this book of Revelation that makes it so controversial? Yes, therefore, I truly believe that it can be stated only in this manner that there are many answers and opinions on how to answer this question. One might even say that it is over the interpretation or over the prophetic warning and yes over the promise of blessing to those who reads; and understands, what is written and who keeps, the word of this prophecy Revelation 1:3. However, what I have heard stated many times during the many years of ministry that I have heard spoken is in this fact that the book of Revelation is so symbolical and so hard to understand and that is why I do not read or study Revelation.
Therefore, if I was to ask you this question: Where does the greatest danger that can happen or take place to those professing Christians who do take lightly the prophetic word of the book of Revelation? Yes, I believe that there could be many different opinions stated or given of why, so many take lightly the book of Revelation. Then the true answer should be this: Can it be that many of us do not feel that we can find what is a truth that comes naturally for us. Yet one might feel and think that living a good Christian life is enough. I, do therefore, feel and believe this, that not only can we understand this prophecy of the book of Revelation, but also, that there are many other prophecies regarding these last days that can be found within the pages of the Old Testament of which there are many prophetic warnings that our God has Lord and Savior reveals here in the book of Revelation which He taught to His disciples and commissioned them to forewarn the people of the coming days in the four gospels as well as the rest of the New Testament.
What is even more amazing is in this brief statement of fact that according to many scholars and theologians, state that they state it in this manner regarding prophecy, that there are 404 verses of scriptures in the book of Revelation and half of them make, reference to the Old Testament.
In my personal study of the book of Revelation the last book of the Bible or New Testament to my understanding holds the many keys of revelation for the future for Israel, and the church and yes, the world. In addition, I know and understand that there are four different methods or four major approaches to the interpretation of the book of Revelation. In today’s modern-day church I believe that it would be well to say that all, of these views are taught in one form or another.
The four views of traditional teachings
The first is the “FUTURIST” that teaches an explicit forecast of how the future unfolds.
The second is “PRETERIST” which teaches that the prophecies were fulfilled in the first century.
The third is “HISTORICAL or PRESENTIST” this teaching states that the prophecies are being fulfilled now and since the resurrection of Christ and His Second Coming.
The fourth are the “IDEALIST” which teach that the book of Revelation does not refer to history of the bible or the church at all but is an allegory of conflict between good and evil.
It is well to bring out this reality first, and that is this, that there are many students of the Bible and Christians, that has addressed the question of what I believe is in the question over who is the authentic author of the book of Revelation is? For example: When you read from other commentaries, you find that some say that it is John who is the author, of Revelation, however, you also find that there are some like me who believes that Jesus Christ Himself is the author of His Own Revelation which makes a more logically understanding. Therefore, my own personal reason for saying that Jesus is the author it is because of the manner or way that the first chapter of Revelation is written for the apostle John is writing what he hears the Lord speaking unto him. In addition, it is well to note in Revelation 1:1 there is a five-fold order of authentic authority of how the book of Revelation is to be unveiled. Note: “God” first then “Jesus” next His “servants” and then it is signified by His “angel” unto His servant “John”. I stress this point of authentic authority to reveal, the what, when, who, how, and why the prophecy of the Revelation of Jesus is vital for the church today.
Furthermore, it is well for me to add this thought that all, of my years of ministry, of teaching, preaching, and my studying that I cannot recall of where that I ever gave any kind of thought about the authentic authority of the servants of God ever having any of the responsibility to proclaim or deliver the message of prophecy regarding the book of Revelation. When it comes right down to stating the whole truth which may sound harsh and cruel to many, however, I now do strongly believe that there are many a good Christians who for one reason or another miss the whole contexts or concept of authority found in Revelation 1:1. Going yet another step further, and I do not make light when I make this statement: for the modern-day Christians, do not feel or believe that they have the authority to teach or proclaim the Revelation of Jesus Christ and the mysteries of that prophecy that is recorded here in the book of Revelation, for they feel or believe that it is the duty of the pastor. If this be the case then how is it that the Revelation of Jesus Christ going to be revealed, that others may know and understand the prophetic events of the coming days as well as the message of the wrath of God being revealed in these prophetic words of the book of Revelation if not by the servants of Christ Jesus. Therefore, with what I have just stated I also believe that Revelation 1:1 also means that there are more than one kind of servant that He will reveal His prophetic message of revelation to.
What I have stated this far in this commentary and up to this point to make myself clear that this is my own personal study and understanding of this book of Revelation. In addition, it is taken out of the complete content of the Bible and of both testaments of the Bible and first and foremost of what the Holy Ghost teaches unto me about this prophecy of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Therefore, as we continue considering the recorded word that has been written by the apostle John, then there is yet another vital thing which needs to be consider, that a revelation is one thing, and a record is another. In addition, what we call the Holy Bible is not a just a revelation, however, it is the written and record of the revelation of God, that His Son given to show unto His servants the things which must shortly come to pass. Therefore, you will find many revelations given unto the prophets and apostles to write and teach unto them that are called by God to make them ready for eternal life in the kingdom to come. Moreover, since the Bible has been recorded and there has been countless generations have come and gone, and there are new revelations which have been recorded by the apostles which is the apostolic words or the prophetic words of the New Testament are to be taught unto Israel and the saints of the church that is living in the last days before the return of Christ.
Understanding Bible Prophecy
When it comes to understanding the prophecy of the Bible it is well to note: Many individuals and Christians have considered the prophecy of the Bible as a sealed word of God, or a hidden word of God, especially the book of Revelation to be a sealed book of God’s mysteries. Moreover, that we are unable to understand God’s prophetic word for what is about to happen in these last days, and before the Lord’s return. However, when we truly consider the word Revelation and its true meaning, is that revelation comes from the Greek name “Apokalypsis”, which means “a disclosure”, “a revelation” or “manifestation and to be revealed”. Therefore, we find that the book of Revelation is not only an open book, however, that its content which is a written revelation, that it is now a definite revelation, that they are to be revealed, and therefore, it is intended to be revealed and understood by us within the modern-day church today. It is in facts that I Have stated up to this point where there is a revealing in the first chapter of Revelation shows that Jesus Christ Himself and His return is the prophetic prophecy of the book of Revelation.
Note very carefully these first three verses of scriptures of Revelation 1. Furthermore, it is well to note that the title of the book of Revelation is singular not plural. I have read somewhere about a minister to where that a man came an attack his knowledge and his interpretation of the book of Revelation. Where that this individual attack on this minister was stated in this way, “you just don’t know anything about Revelations” again, let me repeat that this is to make clear that this statement is not using the plural meaning of what this individual stated. Now the minister reply unto the man you are completely right I don’t know anything about the book of Revelations. I never even seen that book. How many of us Christian embarrassed ourselves when we realize how we interpret the book of Revelation?
Chapter Study for Revelation
Three reasons of why I believe it is important to study the Book of Revelation.
Some may read the Bible however, they tend to shy away from a reading the book of Revelation for various reason.
Let me give you three personal reasons, and good reasons of why we should study the book of Revelation.
FIRST REASON: Revelation reveals, much about the Divine person of Jesus Christ in all His glory and majesty. In addition: If you want to know this Jesus, of how He cares for what His Father has given unto Him then a study the book of revelation is in order. The book of Revelation is also in addition a book which I believe contains a full knowledge that reveals unto Jesus servants the things which identifies who He is as our Lord and Savior and who will reveal all, of the things which must shortly come to pass Revelation 1:1.
Now the apostle John uses at least 27 attributes to describe Jesus in just the first chapter of Revelation.
Here is a list of these attributes to identify Christ Jesus.
I Am: Revelation 1:8, 11, 17, 18,
The Alpha: Revelation 1:8, 11
The Omega: Revelation 1:8, 11
He loves us: Revelation 1:5
The living one: Revelation 1
Faithful witness: Revelation 1:5

REASON 2: The book of Revelation offers a blessing for those who read, hear and keep the words of the prophecy of this book. Therefore, I can say that I cannot find no other book in the scriptures that promises, such a blessing for those who read the book. This blessing I speak of is found in Revelation 1:3 and this is the first blessing, and there are six more blessings offered to believers in this book of Revelation.
REASON 3: Revelation 4-22, speak of the things which shall take place in the coming days or the end times. Revelation has the highest percentage of verses of any book in the Old and New Testaments pertaining to future of Bible prophecy on the coming days or the coming events that will take place in the coming days. I believe that it is well to note that 82% percent of the Book of Revelation speaks of end time prophecy and the wrath of God. The book may be difficult to understand, however, that it should not stop any believer or Christian from diligently digging into the book and allowing the Spirit of God to guide them into all chapters of the book of Revelation.
The Preface of the Revelation of Jesus Christ
In this introduction of Revelation 1, of what I believe and understand it to be is the preface of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, in addition, to my personal understanding for writing a commentary on the book of Revelation. There is one thing which I do believe that which is the most important that I bring to your attention, regarding my approach to the book of Revelation. My very first concern and my greatest concern of, all, and in this is what concerns me, and the most it is over this fact, which is the lack of the teaching of the book of Revelation in the church today. In addition, that one might think and say that all believe that this is the Divine Revelation of Jesus Christ pertains to the church now and that this prophecy is a long way off. However, let me be so bold as to say that this prophecy of Revelation is for Israel, and the modern-day church, that is living in the coming days written in the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Secondly, that the book of Revelation is the crucial warning of God’s Son regarding the coming days of what will take place with Israel, the church as well as to the inhabitants of the earth that they might be saved.
However, the subject about prophecy, especially end time prophecy today, it is well to say that there are these questions that is being ask by this younger generation of the church: “How much time is left?” And yes, there is also this question: “How much time do I have left?” My only answer unto them that I can honestly state is that you need to be ready for the Lord’s return. Furthermore, I do strongly believe that we should be developing the attitude that we do not still have plenty of time before the Lord returns, however, this time of His return is closer than you think. Yes, again I can state with all honesty that there are many, many excuses of why the people state their reasons of not giving their life to the Lord. As a pastor and teacher of the word of God I can say that I have heard many of these excuses. My logic for the above statement is because of what the apostle Paul writes unto Timothy about the attitudes of people in the last days found in 2 Timothy 3 verses one through seven.
The reason that I am stating it in this manner is because I believe that the saints of the church’s and their spiritual walk of faith in the days to come that we must have the knowledge a spiritual knowledge of how to combat the evil hand of the dragon and the beast, as well as what will fall upon the inhabitants of the earth if they accept the beast and his mark, number, and image, moreover, the things which must shortly come to pass recorded in Revelation 1:1. In addition, I further believe, and do strongly believe that the book of Revelation holds the crucial key elements to give unto us this spiritual knowledge that will help us face and fight the spiritual battle of spiritual warfare, which will surely take place in the days to come.
However, the main purpose and focus for my writing this personal commentary about the book of Revelation and the last days or the coming days is to share with all people to whom the Lord God has called that they might have the knowledge of the coming days and about the events that will unfold in the coming days upon the inhabitants of the earth. Yes, for me to be quite honest, and to say that there are many different views or opinions by scholars, theologians, and interpreters, and by many Christians regarding the book of Revelation. Yet, there is another issue which therefore, needs to be addressed early in the writing of this commentary which is to state: The issue which needs to be addressed is about how most common individuals or Christians regard or think about the book of Revelation, regarding all, of the symbolism which is used in the book of Revelation that seem very strange unto them.
Therefore, this why that to most readers of the Bible and especially the book of Revelation is why that they leave it as a closed book because of all, of the symbolism that is written. Moreover, the book of Revelation is a book of the prophecy of our Lord Jesus Christ, of which the Lord makes known in verse three of Revelation, as a blessing to those who hear and read and keep the words of this prophecy. Therefore, I would encourage you to open, up your mind to a Divine Prophetic Word or Revelation of Jesus Christ that foretells the coming days and what will fall upon the inhabitants of the earth as well as the tribulation that will face the saints of the church before the Lord’s return to claim His Bride. Yes, I further know and understand that there are many who do not believe what I have just stated that the church will still be here.
As I further study and write about the book of Revelation and what the Spirit of God has showed or revealed unto me as a personal understanding, to write a personal commentary about the book of Revelation at times while the Spirit of God is speaking, that I can say this about that which is being revealed, and to say the least, that it is overwhelming. Let me further state it in this way as well, that I believe that not all, of the book of Revelation is symbols or symbolism, for some of it is literal, and therefore, I further believe that it deals also with the reality of life which must be taken literally for it pertains to life to come in the coming days. My logic for making this statement is for when we get to Revelation two and three, where we find that Jesus sends unto seven churches His personal message to each church, by giving them His Divine insight of what they are doing right and what they are doing wrong and what they must do which is to repent.
Another way of addressing the preface of Jesus revelation, unto people of God would be to state it in this manner that it is what reveals Jesus Father’s plan, and His purpose for giving His Son this prophecy to reveal unto His servants. Again, in the process of unfolding the Revelation of Jesus Christ, is also about God’s plan for Israel, and the modern-day evangelical church that is living in the last days. Moreover, as we further look at the in-depth meaning of what Jesus is revealing unto His servants of why God is now revealing what He told Daniel to go his way for the words were closed and sealed till the time of the end Daniel 12:9. In addition, I believe that it is well to note that understanding the prophecy of the book of Revelation can also be for our protection as a Christian today which is to keep us from the counterfeit strategies of Satan that you may not fall under his control when the beast and the antichrist is revealed in the coming days.
Nevertheless, it is also well to remind you again, early that by stating that the book of Revelation holds many of the key elements of the future of what will happen to the inhabitants of the earth and how God will pour out His wrath upon all the inhabitants of the earth. In addition, say that the dragon and the beast, as well as the fall of Babylon is going to happen or will take place in the coming days. You will find that God’s Son will reveal all these things which must shortly come to pass, that His Father revealed unto Him to show unto His servants and to have them written so that the servants would have a recorded of what is to come Revelation 1:1. Then one might ask the question: Who are the servants of the Lord Jesus Christ whom He is going to reveal all these things that must take place shortly in the church today? Well one might say that it comes by a prophet and that can be very true. However, what does the gospels and the epistles as well as the Old Testament state about servants of the Lord and whom will minister His message or prophetic word unto the church and the inhabitants of the earth? To answer this question, I do strongly believe that God’s Son and His Father will reveal unto many good men and women who walk faithfully as servants of the Lord God Almighty.
Again, the book of Revelation holds many prevailing facts about this Divine Prophecy of our Lord Jesus Christ and what His Father has given unto Him regarding the coming days. Let me add this thought that the Lord Jesus Christ is now revealing His Father’s overall purpose to bring His chosen people back to Him and to put an end to all, of the evil upon this earth and make all things new in a new heaven and new earth Revelation 21. Before, I write any further; and again, I believe it is well to state that you will see the word and term the inhabitants of the earth stated many times during the writing of this personal commentary. Furthermore, the writing of this commentary is also about the danger of ignoring the prophecy of Jesus Christ.
Regarding, what I stated earlier about many different views and opinions on this holy prophecy here in Revelation, let me take it a step further by saying again, that many still believe that the book of Revelation is a book of mysteries or the hidden or secret things of God because of what God told Daniel to do in the book of Daniel chapter 12 verse 9 that he was to seal up the book until the end of time. However, it must also be repeated that here in this very first chapter of the book of Revelation and in the first text of scripture the Lord begins to make it clear that He is going to show or reveal unto His servants the things which must shortly come to pass. Again, what our God has had sealed up in the book of Daniel, the Father has now given unto His Son a Divine Revelation to be revealed unto His servants the things which must shortly come to pass to proclaim the coming events of the coming days. What comes to my mind now is that Jesus has become the revealer of the things which is to come to pass in the coming days. Furthermore, God and His Son is the only ones who can reveal these hidden or secret things of what must take place in the coming days.
In addition, regarding the hidden and secret things of God or the mysteries of God when it comes to the everyday common individual believing of why that they cannot interpret the hidden or secret things of God is that they feel unworthy to interpret God’s Word. However consider what the apostles John and Paul states: According to the epistles of John he makes clear that we all have the knowledge of God and Paul also makes it known that we have the mind of Christ, in addition, that we have the Holy Spirit which is our Divine teacher of the things of God of things that God told the prophet Daniel to seal up. Therefore, if we have that knowledge that has been provided by God through God’s Spirit then we should be able to understand what the Lord is revealing unto His servants in these last days. The things I have just written up to this point are just a few of the reasons why I feel so strongly about the fact that each, and every Christian should be concerned about the prophecy of the book of Revelation and the coming days.
